Orion Foundation: The government is not doing enough to help children living with cerebral palsy

25th August, 2016

The government should increase affordable special schools and implement policies that will see the needs of people with cerebral palsy being catered for. This is according to a cerebral palsy report released this morning by Orion Foundation that indicates that 94% of Kenyans felt that the government was not doing enough to help children living with cerebral palsy. The report further points out that children with such conditions lack medical insurance covers, with 34% of marriages being affected as a result of the presence of a child with cerebral palsy.
