Kenya’s largest bank by customer numbers defied a sluggish economic environment to report a 10.1 billion shillings profit after tax representing an 18% jump compared to last year.The bank attributed the positive performance to consistent investment in expanding its agency banking business as well as its mobile money transfer platform Equittel.
