We begin with some sad news from Siaya County where nine musicians are feared dead following a boat accident in Lake Victoria. The boat which was ferrying 17 artistes of a Luo music band known as Boyieta Wuod Awasi music group capsized as it was heading to perform in another lake Victoria island called Ndenda Island in Siaya County. They had performed last night at Lihanda beach in Bondo. Eight members of the team were lucky as they were rescued by fishermen in the 9 am accident in central Sakwa ward in Nyangoma division. It’s not clear what caused the accident. The team was expected to perform this evening at a separate concert.
