Brookside Dairies has signed a partnership with the Standard Media Group ahead of the Brookside Breeders Livestock Show slated for end of July this year. Speaking at the signing ceremony held at Standard Group offices, Standard Group Broadcast Managing Director Joe Munene lauded the partnership terming it strategic and a step in the right direction towards mainstreaming agri-business in the country. Munene noted that the dairy sector which contributes close to 6% to the country’s GDP was at its prime as more and more of the population embrace farming. On his part, John Gethi who heads milk procurement at Brookside Dairies indicated that this year’s breeders show will emphasize on new approaches to dairy farming that farmers can take up to boost productivity. The Brookside breeders show runs every two years. The event will be held at the ASK Jamhuri show grounds in Nairobi.
