Kenya pulled off an 18-17 win away to Brazil in Macapa on friday. The hosts raced into an 11-0 lead after a quarter of an hour courtesy of Andre Arruda’s unconverted try after a furious maul and two Leonardo Cecarelli penalties but the simba’s stayed in the hunt for victory, David Ambunya reacting quickest to the bounce off Isaac Adimo’s restart to attack the space and score under the posts, Darwin Mukidza converting for an 11-7 score. The match would remain close, Mukidza adding a penalty to bring the simba’s within a point of their hosts, scores 11-10 at this point but Brazil drew a penalty off a Kenyan infringement, Cecarelli successfully going for goal, taking a 14-10 lead into the breather.
