The 8 members of parliament facing hate speech and incitement charges have been detained for four days in what marks a historic decision by a magistrate in a high profile matter. Gatundu South Mp Moses Kuria, Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama, Bahati Mp Kimani Ngujiri, Kabete Mp Ferdinand Waititu and four others have been sent to various police stations where they will be detained until Friday. The office of the director of public prosecutions successfully petitioned the magistrate to detain the 8 without any possibility of bail. Timothy Otieno has more.
