Uhuru continues to lure Ukambani vote as he's Ukambani tour enters day two
11th June, 2016
President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto continued with their second-day tour of Ukambani in Kitui County with majority of MPs allied to the opposition wiper democratic movement party skipping the tour. President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged local leaders to work with him to develop the region. On Friday, wiper chairman David Musila accused state house of keeping elected leaders from the area in the dark about the areas the president will be visiting. Musila says his party welcomes the president’s visit and dishing out development goodies but added that Ukambani is a stronghold of the opposition cord and residents should not be lured to vote for the ruling Jubilee.
