Abraham Kibiwot gets gold medal at the12th Africa junior athletics championships

Abraham Kibiwot gave Kenya her first gold medal at the 12th Africa junior athletics championships that started in Ethiopia yesterday. Kibiwott clocked 8:47.43 to triumph in the men’s 3000m steeplechase. He was followed across the finish line by Ethiopians Wogene and Amare Halimariam. Felis Chebet clinched the bronze medal in the girls 3000m which was won by Ethiopia’s Medina Nigussie Beriso.
