Arati who was immediately treated following the incident and returned to parliament is now admitted at the Nairobi hospital following what he termed as a restless night. Machakos senator Johnston Muthama who visited Arati in hospital says cord leaders who were assaulted during the chaotic scenes as MPs debated the security laws amendment bill will press charges against MPs who attacked them. And speaking in Nyatike this afternoon, cord leader raila odinga maintained that he was proud of those MPs who stood up against the security laws amendment bill which is now an act of parliament.
