Eco journal: Nyeri locals start extending the tree planting campaign right into their farms

Nyeri is ranked as the county with the highest forest cover in the country. This may be partly because it is home to two key water towers, the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. Locals however also play a part in increasing the county’s forest cover. In Hombe, communities have replanted close to 2,000 hectares of forest land.
