Former head of civil service Francis Muthaura speaks on new job

3rd January, 2014

Former head of civil service Francis Muthaura has thanked president Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing him as chairman of the lapsset corridor development authority. Muthaura assured the president that he was committed to the lapsset project and has the required experience to deliver on the dream of developing a second transport corridor that would link northern Kenya with neighbouring countries of somalia, ethiopia and south sudan. Senator kiraitu murungi said those who were opposed to Muthaura’s appointment should now shut up and let Muthaura work. Other Meru leaders criticised those opposing Muthaura’s appointment saying they should let the appointing authority do its work.
