The Standard newspaper Educational Program, dubbed Newspapers in Education has been lauded as a tool to build a culture of reading and inculcate discipline among learners. The team led by a Newspaper in Education Manager Frank Otieno and Nairobi Region Sales and Distribution Manager, Anthony Mutunga launched the newspaper during a colorful event at Mowlem Creek Premier Academy in Umoja, here in Nairobi. Since the launch of the NIE program, 258 schools have subscribed.
