The government has released 17.47 billion shillings to schools as a capitation for all learners. Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha says the release of the funds will help ensure 100 percent transition from primary to secondary school. The release of the funds comes at a time when parents are crying foul for being overburdened by the high cost of books and school uniform.
