Questions raised over the shelf-life of the 358,700 AstraZeneca vaccines donated from Denmark

The fight against the deadly covid-19 virus received a major boost following the arrival of 358,700 additional AstraZeneca vaccines from the government of Denmark. However, questions abound whether the government will be able to inoculate its people using the vaccines before the remaining 4 weeks shelf life lapses. Meanwhile, the ministry of health has called on Kenyans not to panic as the AstraZeneca vaccine donation is not the Indian AstraZeneca licensed version that is yet to receive approval by the European medicines agency.
