Drama ensued at Mlimani Primary in Ngorika, after parents closed the institution hours after students reported for the first term. The irate parents withdrew their children yesterday, citing poor performance and neglect by the government in rehabilitating the school which is in a sorry state. The parents demonstrated demanding the Ministry of Education top brass to visit the school and construct more classrooms with current mud-walled ones almost collapsing. They vowed not to release their children to school despite the government kickstarting an operation to ensure all students are back in school.
