1 lady among the only 7 that sailed through in KDF recruitment, Kangundo Sub County, Machakos County

Only 7 recruits from Kangundo sub-county, Machakos County have excelled in joining Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) in the ongoing recruitment exercise.

The 7 included 6 males and a female where the exercise took place at the Kainga Stadium in Kangundo sub-county under the oversight of Lt Colonel Mohammed Rubea. In his sediments, Rubea said that the process was fairly well with all steps done well with the final stage being medical test whereby the managed to get 6 youths out of 200 male participants and a female out of 50 who had turned up for the exercise.

Lydia Nthenya Mbondo aged 18years was the only female who sailed through the process and in her interview with SDV she couldn't hide her joy. " I came here to try my luck, I am happy I have passed and secured a position of joining KDF", she said over the process she added that the exercise was free and fair as she called upon who didn't make not to give up but to try in future.
