It is the international day for street children, a day that celebrates millions of street children and gives them a platform to speak out so that their rights cannot be ignored. There  is no official figure on the number of homeless children in kenya, though the government early this year commissioned a census to establish their number. Estimates however show that there are between 250,000   300,000 street children in kenya with 60,000 of them living in Nairobi.
