Abraham Kiptum breaks men's world record at Valencia's half marathon

As Kenyans participated in the Standard Chatered Nairobi Marathon, in Spain Kenya’s Abraham Kiptum broke the men’s world record at the Valencia Half Marahton clocking 58 minutes 18 seconds at the IAAF gold label road race to take five seconds off the mark set by Eritrea’s Zersenay Tadese in 2010. Valencia, often promoted as the city of running has played host to all three standing world records for the half marathon  Abraham Kiptum’s , Joyciline Jepkosgei’s and also Netsanet Gudeta’s women?only record.
