Police have launched a manhunt for a 23-year-old man following the discovery of four decomposing bodies in a thicket in Kaseveni Village, Kathiani Constituency, Machakos County.
The suspect, identified as Amos Wambua, is alleged to have killed his wife, Grace Mungai, her two daughters—8-year-old Joyce Mutheu and 4-year-old Sarah Mungai—as well as her seven-month unborn child before dumping the bodies in a nearby thicket.
The gruesome discovery was made after a neighbour's dog reportedly emerged from the thicket carrying what appeared to be a human limb, prompting residents to alert authorities.
Police officers and detectives visited the scene, recovered the bodies and launched investigations into the killings. The bodies were moved to the mortuary for post-mortem examinations as investigators continue gathering evidence.
The incident has left residents of Kaseveni Village in shock, with many struggling to come to terms with the tragedy. Authorities have appealed to anyone with information on the suspect's whereabouts to report it to the nearest police station as efforts to trace and arrest him continue.
