US Expands Travel Bans to 39 Countries, Including 26 in Africa

United States President Donald Trump has expanded the list of countries whose nationals face partial or total entry bans into the US, increasing the number from 19 to 39.

Of the affected nations, 26 are in Africa, meaning nearly half of the continent is now impacted by the policy.

Analysts warn the move could strain diplomatic relations between the United States and African countries.
