GSU officer attacked and killed outside Statehouse assailant afterwards arrested on the spot

An armed General Service Unit (GSU) officer manning State House, Nairobi, has been killed in a shocking attack while on duty. Witnesses say the 56-year-old assailant approached the area pretending to be a street dweller and fatally speared the officer in the chest before being overpowered. The National Police Service has confirmed the incident, saying GSU officers on duty swiftly subdued and arrested the attacker. An investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the assault has since been launched.
