Kenya's debt hits 12.1 trillion shillings, 208k per citizen under Ruto's govt

When campaigning for the presidency, William Ruto pledged to slow down government borrowing. However, less than three years into his administration, Kenya has taken on over Sh3.5 trillion in new loans, pushing the national debt to Sh12.1 trillion. This translates to a debt burden of about Sh208,000 for every citizen.
