Stakeholders urge government to intervene and save collapsing Kenyan universities

Several public universities are still facing huge financial deficits, threatening their continued existence. University education principal secretary, Simon Nabukwesi says the financial situation in public universities is so bad that unless the government intervenes through bailouts, some of the institutions of higher learning are faced with imminent insolvency or be dragged to court for non-remittance of statutory deductions.
