Was Harun Aydin who is at the center of Deputy President William Ruto’s aborted trip to Uganda deported or did he leave the country ‘voluntarily’ ?. Lawyers for the Turkish national initially indicated he was deported but later said he was not ‘formally deported’ and left ‘voluntarily’ aboard a direct Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul, on a day he was expected to be arraigned.
