Parents struggling to have their children in school have to bear the twin burden of school fees and buying uniforms at exorbitant prices. Many secondary schools have been demanding up to 20,000 shillings for school uniforms besides the mandatory school fees. Some have even had their children turned off after they failed to pay money for school uniforms.
