President Uhuru Kenyatta has today promoted major general Francis Ogolla to lieutenant general and appointed him the vice chief of the defense forces. Lieutenant general Francis Ogolla replaces lieutenant general Franklin Mghalu whose term has come to an end after 40 years of service. Also promoted is major general Albert Kendagor who has moved to the lieutenant general rank and appointed as Amisom’s force commander, major general Jonah Mwangi appointed the vice chancellor national defence university of Kenya and promoted to lieutenant general. Major general William Shule will from today take the position of deputy commander Kenya army as NMS director general major general Mohamed Badi moves ranks to lieutenant general. These are just some of the appointments and postings that have been made by the head of state.
