Today marks exactly 52 years since Tom Mboya, then Kenya's economic planning and development minister met his death on a quiet Saturday afternoon in Nairobi. Tom Mboya was doing a little shopping downtown Nairobi when an assassin opened fire, killing him in an instant. Kevin Ogutu visited his mausoleum in Rusinga island in Homa bay county and now brings us the marvel in the mausoleum’s gallery, and tales from his kinsmen who interacted with him in person.
