High-end luxury cars are among the uncollected fleet of vehicles put on sale by the Kenya revenue authority (KRA) in the largest auction ever to be conducted in Mombasa. According to KRA southern region coordinator Joseph Tonui, the authority is expected to collect between sh200 million in the manual auction to sell 314 cars and an assortment of goods in 223 containers to be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday. Among the goods listed for the auction are hundreds of vehicles including top luxury cars like BMW, Mercedes Benz, Lexus and land rover, and other assorted items. Hundreds of prospective bidders are converging in Mombasa for a two-day auction of thousands of uncollected goods and motor vehicles at the port by the Kenya revenue authority (KRA). Last month, KRA conducted another auction that raised sh50 million in revenue.
