Coalition Jitters: DP Ruto faults Jubilee and ODM coalition, says hustlers will back UDA

19th June, 2021

Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed the planned Jubilee Odm parties coalition ahead of the 2022 general election saying it will not negatively impact his quest to occupy the house on the hill next year. Ruto who is also the deputy party leader of the Jubilee Party at least on paper, clearly indicated that for now, they are busy popularizing their new political vehicle United Democratic Alliance (UDA) which he will use to seek the 5th presidency of Kenya. Meanwhile, ANC and Ford Kenya party leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have maintained that they will not join alliances that push leaders to a corner to endorse a certain presidential candidate ahead of the 2022 polls.
