BBI Report Row: Joint legal team approves report, creation of 70 new constituencies faulted

The distribution of 70 new constituencies as outlined in the BBI bill is once again emerging as a thorny issue even as the joint legal affairs committee of the two houses of parliament prepares to submit their report. Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja and his Murang’a counterpart Irungu Kang’ata have voiced dissenting opinion on whether or not increasing or decreasing electoral boundaries should be left to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
