Lawyer Alice Yano says if appointed chief justice, she would consult the first lady Margaret Kenyatta to understand the president’s temperament in order to determine opportune moments to book for appointments to discuss contentious issues between the judiciary and the executive.  Yano was the last candidate to appear before the judicial service commission in the search for Kenya’s next chief justice.
