A leadership row is brewing at the judicial service commission, JSC ahead of the MUCH-ANTICIPATED interviews for candidates seeking to replace David Maraga as chief justice, an exercise that is set to kick off on Monday…this after a petition was filed challenging the election of prof. Olive Mugenda as the acting chairperson of the powerful

JSC is mandated with the role of selecting a suitable candidate. A petition addressed to JSC, and a case filed at the high court is questioning the eligibility of prof. Mugenda to hold that position while there is an acting chief justice Philomena Mwilu. According to the petitioners, Justice Mwilu should occupy that position.
