KEMSA Inquest: Genuine companies yet to be paid; KEMSA lost Sh.5B in irregular tender

It is now emerging that local manufacturing companies that have been transacting genuine business with the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency for over 10 years, and offered to supply the government agency with ppe's at affordable rate have not been paid. The public investment committee probing the kemsa scandal has questioned why local companies who imported the ppe's into the country were paid billions of shillings despite not following the public procurement process.
