Who will take over from Maraga? JSC now considering 13 applicants for the chief justice position

We can report that 13 top Kenyans have shown interest to replace David Maraga as chief justice and president of the supreme court. but the acting chief justice who is also the substantive deputy chief justice Philomena Mwilu's name is missing from the list of those interested in the position so is all other supreme court judges. according to the judicial service commission. 9 individuals have submitted applications for the position of judge of the supreme court to replace justice prof. Jackton Ojwang who retired last year. a scrutiny of the list of the applicants features a combination of serving judges, a public prosecutor and senior counsels.
