Mass Failures: new report by KNEC says that If KCPE was held today candidates would perform dismally

3rd February, 2021

To something that will bother parents with candidates in grade 8. if the Kenya certificate of primary education KCPE was held today, then your class eight candidates across all the counties would perform dismally. According to a report by the Kenya national examinations council, recent research shows only 17 counties would post a mean score above 50%. More disappointing is that ASAL counties are most affected. the worrying trend KNEC says is informed by the disruption of face to face learning...the examinations body has since recommended the institution of targeted interventions towards the provision of learning resources in public schools especially ASAL areas.
