Now, in July 2020, president Uhuru Kenyatta put a smile on the faces of two young innovators based in Githunguri, in the county of Kiambu, when he ordered 500 beds to boost capacity in public hospitals that were buckling under the pressure of increased covid?19?related admissions. Fast forward to 2021 and it’s a different story altogether, after the young innovators accused the government of failing to keep its word. This fiasco has attracted the ire of Kenyans and their leaders alike.
