Religious leaders now seem to be taking a keen interest in Kenya's politics as the country heads towards the 2022 general election. Some taking sides and offering strong opinions, openly supporting and dismissing various political groupings. Others have weighed in on the building bridges initiative, mostly opposing the proposed constitutional changes. Could Kenyans be seeing a repeat of the 2005 & 2010 constitutional plebiscites, where the voice of the clergy was loud and clear?
