incumbent yoweri kaguta museveni took a commanding lead in uganda's presidential election, friday with almost half the votes having been counted on friday .as at 5.30pm this evening when the country’s electoral commission gave its 5th update, museveni was in the lead with 3,091,825 votes, which is 62.74% of total votes counted, while bobi wine was trailing with 1,445,805 votes, which is 29.34% of the total more results are expected to be announced soon
