Dozens of families evicted from Kapkok after their houses were torched by KFS Officers

More than 23 families from Kapkok area in Elgeyo Marakwet have found themselves homeless after their houses were torched by Kenya Forestry Services officers in a renewed conflict over conservation of Embobut forest. The displacement of the members of Sengwer community comes at a time when the community and kfs are engaged in a dispute over alleged invasion of the forest.
