High court orders MPs to pay back Ksh1.2 billion they unlawfully awarded themselves

To the corridors of justice now and the high court has ordered MPs to pay back 1.2 billion shillings that they unlawfully awarded themselves as house allowance two years ago. In the case, the salaries and remuneration commission and activist okiya omtatah had challenged the sh. 250,000 house allowance each that the 416 mps awarded themselves.
