COVID-19 Numbers: Kenya records 631 new cases of COVID-19 today, caseload now at 47,843

Kenya has recorded 631 more covid19 positive cases in the past 24 hours raising the country's total caseload to 47, 843. in a statement sent to newsrooms, health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases are from 6,142 samples. in terms of distribution, Nairobi leads with 235 cases followed by Mombasa with 76, Kilifi 52, Uasin Gishu 28, Bungoma 23, Busia 23, Kiambu 22, Machakos (21) just to sample a few counties. at the same time, 14 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing Kenya's fatalities to 884. and according to Kagwe, 371 more patients have recovered. currently, there are 20 patients in the intensive care unit, 59 on supplementary oxygen and 16 in the high dependency unit.
