25th September, 2020

Relocation of power lines along Mombasa road going in and around the Nairobi city centre are at an advanced stage, even as contractors work round the clock to beat the deadline to build the Nairobi expressway in a spot-check, the Kenya power board of directors found out that a huge chunk of power lines were rerouted as per the plan. the project will see Kenya power spend some 1.08 billion shillings to be paid out by the Kenya national highways authority. the Nairobi expressway is a 27.1-kilometre dual carriageway linking the Jomo Kenyatta international airport to waiyaki way, in a bid to help decongest Mombasa road.
