After weeks of hitting headlines for attempting to impeach their governor Anne Waiguru, it appears that the two warring sides have finally buried the hatchet and agreed to work together. The governor together with Kirinyaga MCAS have now put their differences aside and agreed to work together for the betterment of the county. Following the agreement, a multiagency committee to oversee infrastructural development has been set up which will among other things push for the carpetting of six kilometres of roads per week. This is to ease transport challenges in the area.
