JKIA CONTROVERSY: How Kenyan taxpayers lost Kshs. 4.3 billion Chinese contractor for work not done

The Greenfield terminal project that was to be constructed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport was riddled with controversy since 2012.  The national assembly’s public investments committee was told that the office of the prime minister during the grand coalition government was opposed to the project for lack of funds, while the former head of public service and secretary to the Cabinet Francis Kimemia wanted the project to proceed.
