Moi University student Ivy Wangeci's murder suspect Naftali Kinuthia speaks to the court

The man who killed Moi university student Ivy Wangeci has been charged with murder at the high court in Eldoret. 29-year-old Naftali Kinuthia appeared before Eldoret high court judge Stephen Githinji and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. According to the charge sheet, Kinuthia is said to have murdered Wangechi on April 9th at 10:30 am at the Moi teaching and referral hospital in Eldoret town. The defence sought to make an application for bail, a submission that was opposed by the prosecution. The case will be mentioned on May 9th and the hearing will commence a month later on June 10th.
