Celebrated Kenya Airways captain Joseph Kinuthia completes last flight after serving for 42 years

Celebrated Kenya Airways pilot who flew the inaugural KQ flight to New York completed his last flight today amid nostalgia after serving the national carrier for 42 years. Captain Joseph Kinutihia’s last flight, kq003 was from New York. The plane touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport this morning at 8.45am amid pomp and colour in his honour. Captain Kinuthia was accompanied by the same crew members that were aboard the inaugural flight to New York on 28th October 2018. He retired one day ahead of his birthday. Captain Kinuthia thanked Kenya Airways for being a good employer who gave him an opportunity to grow in the industry and train many pilots. His colleagues showered praises on him as a diligent worker who served with the utmost professionalism.
