Despite being credited for bringing sanity in Nairobi City during his tenure as Nairobi town clerk between 2004?2009, prominent persons were missing in action at the funeral service of the late John Gakuo. ******friends and family members who gathered at the All Saints Cathedral to eulogize him stood ground that the late Gakuo was innocent for the charges that had been preferred against him that led to his sentencing and that he will be exonerated even in his grave. Gakuo died a week ago at Mbagathi Hospital where he had been for treatment after he fell ill while in prison where together with three other people were sentenced to three years in jail over the 283 million shillings mavoko cemetery land scandal. He will be buried on Friday at his home in Ol Kalou, in the County of Nyandarua.
