Inspector general of police Joseph Boinnet today came under fire from MPs over the Fort Ternan bus accident which claimed 58 lives.

Boinnet told the national assembly’s transport committee that no police officer was manning the roads from Nairobi to Fort Ternan in Kericho County on the night the accident occurred and no action has been taken against any police officer. MPs want Boinnet to take responsibility and resign.
