Debunking effects of handshake to the controversial fuel levy tax

Meanwhile President Uhuru Kenyatta’s proposals on the controversial fuel levy tax got a major boost after the national super alliance – NASA ? parliamentarians made a U-turn and declared conditional support. The opposition has said it will support the proposals for only one year and warned against what it called appetite for domestic and foreign loans. This came as President Uhuru Kenyatta whipped jubilee MPs to fully support his proposals on what many critics have termed as punitive. The handshake effect between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga seems to be working to their advantage in getting quick fixes to tricky political decisions.
