Three people-among them a police officer and a matatu conductor –were killed today during running battles in Kenyenya, Kisii County. A standard six pupil returning from school was also shot in the leg following the confrontation between the officers and the residents. The residents were protesting the killing of the matatu conductor at Magenche area as he was driving a vehicle to pick members of a church who had hired the vehicle to take them on a tour.
